## Definition

Phishing in crypto usually means a fake email, message, or website that looks like a trusted exchange, wallet, or project. The aim is to get you to type in a seed phrase, paste a private key, or sign a transaction that drains your wallet.

Common warning signs include slightly misspelled domain names, urgent messages claiming your account is at risk, and links to airdrops you never asked for.
